Noble martyr Akbar Shokrgozar was born in a religious agricultural family in northern city of A’astane Ashrafiye in 1955. There he grew up and went to school. Though he had to work with the rest of family because of difficulties of life and economic pressure, he managed to get his high school diploma in 1976. Then he was dispatched to military service which was coincident with the peak days of Islamic Revolution in Iran; when due to his religious background and anti- monarchy activities Akbar left the garrison he served in according to orders of late Imam Khomeini and joined the roaring flood of the Revolution.
After the victory of the Islamic Revolution he went to the battle fronts several times. Martyr Shokrgozar got married in 1980 and her daughter was only one year old when he was martyred.
After returning to his hometown and in the atmosphere of insecurity the MKO terrorists had created in the urban and rural areas had had a key role in re-establishment of peace and security.
Finally, this brave guardian of Islam and the Revolution was targeted from behind by the cowardly attack of MKO armed elements and was shot in the head and heart and other parts of the body and was martyred on January 4, 1983.
